Announcing: A Day of Victories and Victories Social Gatherings

Over the years, Victories has held a variety of annual benefits. A Day of Victories changes the way we as a community approach the organization and each other.

A Day of Victories is about reconnecting with Victories friends and making new ones, all in a format that promotes community, learning opportunities, continued personal growth, and supports the life-long transformation of men and their families.

Please invite your partners, friends,  family and neighbors who wish to spend a  day of learning, personal growth and community.  Please note that this day is open to both men and women.

See more information about A Day of Victories here.

Victories Social Gatherings

The Victories community is rich in talent, passions, and experiences, and there are never enough opportunities to share them with each other. We hope to change this with Victories Social Gatherings, which we hope will foster meaningful experiences within the community while raising money for the organization.

Victories is looking for Alumni and their Significant Others and friends to host Social Gatherings and to share their talents, passions, and experiences with the community.

Further information on how to host a Gathering or how to participate in a Gathering can be found here.

Buddy Portugal Fund to Assure the Future of Victories
The Victories Board of Directors is pleased to announce the creation of the "Buddy Portugal Fund To Assure The Future Of Victories." The purpose of this fund is to honor the memory of our co-founder and beloved friend, Buddy Portugal, by providing the support necessary to preserve and grow our programs well into the future.

Become a Sustaining Member. We cordially invite everyone in our community to become Sustaining Members of Victories. This membership program will provide those who believe in our work with the opportunity to help us ensure its future. Your tax deductible membership dues of $250/year (or $25/month for 10 months) will entitle you to a variety of benefits including:

  • $100 off our weekends (BreakThrough, Wisdom Years, Shadow Weekend & BreakThrough II)
  • 20% off all Paths to Leadership training programs
  • Option to be included in the Sustaining Members Directory - an online listing designed to promote personal and professional networking within our community.

Weekend Staff
Beginning September 1st, 2012, only sustaining members will be eligible to staff Victories weekends. As is always the case with Victories programs, this policy will NOT exclude men who, due to financial constraints, are not able to become sustaining members. Installment options are also available (i.e., $25/month for 10 months).

Victories truly appreciates the 80-100 hours that each individual gives when staffing a Victories weekend. We fully recognize the real personal sacrifice each of you make in terms of your time and giving of yourself to others. There are, however, tangible costs of having leadership teams of around ten per weekend. Each staffer also receives significant personal growth benefit from staffing the weekend. In fact, staff have the opportunity to do their own personal work on Thursday evening and Friday during the day before participants arrive. Staffers regularly report that they get so much more out of the experience, than they give. For this reason, while staffing certainly involves a component of selfless service and personal sacrifice in terms of time, it also provides a meaningful experience for continued personal growth and development.

Even with all the tangible benefits of membership, the most satisfying will be one that is intangible: the knowledge that you are helping us help others to experience the transformative programs that so often help men realize their dreams, become better partners and parents, and achieve greater peace of mind.

To become a Sustaining Member, please register online, or contact the office at 312.604.5013 or admin@victoriesformen.org. If you have any questions about this policy or the rationale for it, please do not hesitate to contact Pete Myran, Interim Executive Director at peter.myran@victoriesformen.org.
