I utilize an integrative approach to assist clients in exploring concerns such as anxiety and depression. I often use lifestyle measures to address the concerns brought by my clients. I am also a trained facilitator-candidate for The Daring Way, a curriculum authored by Dr. Brene Brown, which helps clients recognize the role shame plays in their life and helps develop shame resilience.

My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, anger management, and couples counseling. I strive to provide a safe and affirming therapeutic space in which I view my clients as people and not as diagnoses. As an LGBT ally, I welcome clients of all sexual orientations and identities. My office is centrally located, close to public transit, and offers a comfortable, professional, and peaceful atmosphere. Limited evening and weekend appointments are available. I am in-network with Aetna, Cigna, and BCBS PPO.

I offer individual counseling to men whose life has gotten thrown off track through anxiety, depression or relationship issues. For more than 22 years, I have been treating men, particularly sensitive men, who feel no one "gets" them and collaborate with them to make lasting and profound changes. I also have an expertise working with artists and may use art therapy for trauma release. My mixed gender relationship group therapy has been running since 2009 and the men, in particular, have found it invaluable in changing the way they feel about themselves, other men and women and how they interact with others. I also lead a 4-week group entitled, "I Love Me" for people who want to work on self-esteem, self-limiting beliefs and shame issues.

If your child or adolescent is having a problem, then the chances are it feels like a problem to you, too – but one of a different kind, a problem that keeps you awake at night and leaves you at a loss for solutions. I specialize in working with young people who are struggling to overcome social, emotional, behavioral, or school difficulties. I also work with parents who are struggling to understand and help their children.
